Hi, I’m Jenna- a registered clinical counsellor with the BCACC. I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology and have spent the past several years supporting individuals through their healing and growth journeys. I began my career working with male survivors of sexual abuse, which laid the foundation for my deep respect for the courage and strength it takes to face trauma. Over time, I transitioned into a clinic where I had the privilege of assisting couples, individuals, and youth with a variety of mental health challenges. I’ve also had the opportunity to work in a hospital setting as a substance use clinician, expanding my expertise in supporting clients through complex struggles.
Now, I’ve returned to my roots by starting my own small private practice. I realized that I missed working with clients over the long term—building a relationship and navigating the change process together. This practice has truly become my happy place, and I hope it can become yours as well.
I came into this career with the goal of helping people, but what I didn’t expect was how deeply passionate I’d become about growth—not only for my clients, but for myself as well. It’s a two-way street. The work we do together allows both of us to learn and evolve.
I’ve trained in several therapeutic approaches, including Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), all of which inform my approach to supporting clients. My goal is to provide a warm, supportive space where we can explore what’s happening in your life and work together to find solutions that feel right for you.
I’m excited to connect with you and support you on your path to growth and healing.

Trauma: I create a safe and compassionate space for clients to explore and heal from trauma. Using Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I help individuals identify and heal the parts of themselves that were hurt, overwhelmed, or silenced by past experiences. These approaches enable clients to engage in deep healing by understanding and nurturing their inner parts while cultivating acceptance and commitment to change.
Anxiety: Together, we uncover thought patterns and behaviours contributing to your anxiety. I integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you develop practical coping skills, understand the internal triggers driving your anxiety, and foster a sense of calm and confidence in navigating daily life. ACT is also helpful in this process, allowing you to accept difficult emotions while taking meaningful action toward what matters most to you.
Depression: My approach to depression emphasizes creating a sense of hope and understanding. Through compassionate, client-centered care, I guide individuals in reconnecting with their values, breaking free from unhelpful patterns, and finding a renewed sense of purpose and joy. I often incorporate Internal Family Systems (IFS) to explore and heal the parts of you that may feel stuck or overwhelmed by sadness.
Substance Use: I use trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and harm reduction strategies to meet clients where they are, focusing on their unique goals and strengths. Whether working toward sobriety or finding healthier ways to manage substance use, I support clients in exploring the underlying factors and creating meaningful change.
Relationships and Attachment: Whether you’re navigating conflict in a romantic relationship, struggling with family dynamics, or exploring patterns in your connections with others, I draw on Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) to help strengthen your relationships. Together, we work to identify attachment styles, improve communication, and foster deeper understanding and connection with yourself and others.
Areas of competency: Anxiety, Depression, Relationships, Trauma, Sexual Abuse, Substance Use.
